About the Role:

As an Aspiring Youth Offending Officer in Bedford you’ll work directly with young people displaying challenging behaviours, supporting them through tailored intervention plans designed to promote positive change and reduce risks. Your role will involve one-on-one sessions, group work, and collaborating with professionals like probation officers and social workers to provide well-rounded support.

The Ideal Aspiring Youth Offending Officer:

* Support young people to overcome challenges and lower their risk of reoffending
* Help create and implement personalised behaviour and rehabilitation plans
* Build trust and rapport through individual and group engagement
* Assist young people in developing social skills and making positive life choices
* Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care

What We’re Looking For:

* A criminology graduate passionate about youth justice and supporting young people
* Experience in related roles is a plus but not required — full training provided
* A patient, empathetic, and calm approach to working with vulnerable youths
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
* A motivated self-starter eager to make a lasting impact
* Ability to commute to Bedford
