Jason has been recruiting teachers and support staff for the business since February 2008, and is one of the longest serving members of the Academics family! Prior to working in recruitment, after graduating, Jason worked in publishing sales and retail, before taking a chance on a resourcing opportunity for the company in 2008, and he has been here ever since. Since 2011, Jason has successfully grown the primary supply desk within the Calderdale, Kirklees and Bradford Local Authorities. Jason now manages the Halifax branch, working with primary schools in Calderdale and Kirklees and helping them with both contract vacancies, and daily supply in Halifax and Huddersfield, helping schools find primary teachers and teaching assistants. Because of the trust Jason has built with his client schools, he is also heavily involved with many of their permanent vacancies. Jason also holds Cert RP status with the REC.
Life outside of work for Jason is committed to his family and his drum kit!
Caitlyn joined Academics in 2016 and since joining the team in Halifax, has built the local secondary supply through delivering long term, daily and permanent recruitment solutions to schools across Calderdale, Kirklees and Bradford. Caitlyn works closely with secondary teachers and support staff, and is keen to hear from you if you’re looking for daily supply teaching in Halifax, or even a long term teaching job. Caitlyn Graduated with a first class honours degree in Business Management from the University of Huddersfield which has given her the skills to build successful relationships with schools, teachers and support staff.
Away from work Caitlyn enjoys spending her spare time with her partner, friends and mostly her Jug (Jack Russell/ Pug) Ripley, who for a small pooch demands a lot of attention. If she can find any spare time, she likes to go to the gym!
Luke joined Academics in November 2018, after studying both Education and the Education system in detail for 3 years at the York St John University, where he obtained an upper second class honours degree. Before joining Academics, Luke spent 2 years working in a management position for one of the countries biggest retailers. Luke now runs the Bradford primary desk here at Academics, where he supplies his client schools within the Bradford local authority with daily, long term and permanent recruitment solutions.
Luke has now built relationships with clients across the Bradford local authority and is always on the look out for excellent teachers, teaching assistants, SEN support staff and clerical staff, so he can continue to equip his client schools with the highest calibre of candidates.
Away from work, Luke enjoys both watching and playing Rugby, walking his border collie and spending time with his partner and his family.
Matt joined Academics in February 2019 after 8 years as an Estate Agent (don’t judge him!) in Halifax and Huddersfield where he gained skills in negotiations and communication with the last 3 years spent in managerial positions within West Yorkshire. Matt now runs the Kirklees Primary desk at Academics, supplying Primary schools in the Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Holmfirth, Cleckheaton, Batley & Liversedge areas with daily supply, long term and permanent primary teachers & schools support staff. In his spare time Matt enjoys playing snooker, is a keen follower of Huddersfield Town FC and enjoys spending time with his partner and miniature sausage dog, Sydney.
