Daniel is an Associate Director at Academics and the most experienced member of the Secondary Team. He has been working in education recruitment for more than 20 years now and has a built up a strong network of client schools based on trust and performance. Before joining Academics, Daniel was a Regional Branch Manager for another national education recruitment agency. As a former educator, Daniel is very proud of what Academics has been able to achieve since opening in 2003. When he is not in the office, Daniel is a keen DIY’er even though his skill set doesn’t always live up to his passion.
Douglas joined Academics in 2009 as a Secondary Consultant having previously work as a recruiter within the publishing sector. Since his arrival, Douglas has primarily focussed on working with secondary schools across South London and the surrounding areas and prides himself on building long lasting business relationships. Douglas continues to drive his desk forward recruiting with integrity and with the full trust of his client schools. Outside of work Douglas enjoys travelling with his family as well as DJ’ing music.
Christine joined Academics in 2014 following a successful career as a History and English Teacher and Subject Coordinator; having personal experience on all sides of education and recruitment gives her a unique insight into the needs of both her candidates and client schools.
Originally from Toronto, Christine has made London her home since 2009 and enjoys recruiting teachers and support staff for schools across the city she loves. As manager of both the Secondary and SEN teams, Christine also devotes much of her time to the training and development of her team members, while also keeping her own skills and educational knowledge up to date. When she’s not in the office, Christine spends her time at the gym, travelling, reading, and exploring the hidden gems London has to offer.
James joined Academics in September 2014 having previously spent three years working in an Ofsted outstanding SEN school. James has been very successful in building solid long lasting relationships with schools and candidates during his time at Academics and prides himself on providing an honest and transparent service. He is responsible for the full recruitment process and specialises in the recruitment of graduate TAs and secondary school teachers. James has a passion for football, boxing, and dogs and in his spare enjoys travelling, going to the gym and socialising with family and friends.
Jordan joined Academics in September 2020 as a Secondary Consultant with our team in London, with a solid track record as a Manager and a former Recruitment Consultant for the Health and Social Care sector. Jordan has spent his career building long lasting business relationships, offering sustainable solutions and continuously providing a transparent service to all.
Currently Jordan is covering the areas of Camden, Islington and Barnet specialising in the recruitment of LSA’s, TA’s, NQT’s as well as new and fully qualified teachers. As he is Tri-lingual he also has an in-depth understanding of Modern Foreign Languages.
Outside of work he has studied hard to achieve his MSc in Psychology as well as following his musical passions in his spare time as a session musician and solo artist.
Savannah is an Education Resourcer at Academics, having grown up and studied in London she has a good knowledge of the local schools and their surrounding areas, as well as a real appreciation for the positive impact that passionate teachers and supporting staff have on students.
Before joining Academics in 2021, Savannah previously worked as a trainee recruitment consultant within the financial industry. Her focus now is to work towards helping teachers and support staff to find their perfect role in the education sector.
In her spare time, Savannah enjoys being creative by drawing or painting, she also likes to travel and go on walks with her dog Simba.
