Leigham currently specialises in recruiting primary and teachers and TA’s into mainstream schools across North London. His sole aim has always been to provide a high calibre of candidate to his clients and he prides himself on developing his reputation of delivering a transparent, professional service to all his clients. Outside of work Leigham runs an amateur football team and loves a good sing song at the karaoke bar. But his real passion is spending time with his daughter Florence.
Rebekkah joined Academics in July 2019 as the Primary consultant for South East London. During her time at Academics Rebekkah has gained great knowledge of South East London Primary schools and local communities, she focuses on finding talented teachers and support staff whilst providing support and advice throughout the entire recruitment process. She takes great pride in her work and has a transparent and honest approach to both clients and candidates. Outside of work Rebekkah enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to the gym and anything to do with organisation (she has a list and highlighters for everything and is very particular when it comes to cleaning and how tidy her desk is).
I joined Academics in February 2021 after 2 years recruiting experience in the Cyber Security industry. I work with Primary Schools across the boroughs of Ealing, Harrow and Hillingdon, supplying them with daily supply, long term supply, permanent teachers & support staff. Having lived in Ealing & West London for over 6 years, I have great knowledge of the local schools, transport links & surrounding area. I thrive on matching the great people with the perfect school!
Health and fitness is a major passion of mine! If I’m not at my desk, you can catch me on a long walk – making sure I hit my daily step goal or smashing out a workout in the gym. I am also known for my love of festivals & music events and try to attend at least one a month.
My name is Jessica and I joined Academics in 2022. I resource Primary and Secondary Education staff for our schools in East London.
I have an entire education background with a degree in Education with Special and Inclusive Education, and even went to Sri Lanka to teach children English. I began my career in construction recruitment and now use my education expertise to recruit teachers and teaching assistants.
Outside of work, I am a social butterfly and absolutely love going out – I cannot say no to a night out…ever.
I joined Academics in March 2012. I am the London Academics Branch Manager and also recruit education staff for our Primary schools in Wandsworth, Lambeth, Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea.
I have three children and have experienced first-hand, the fantastic education provided by our Primary schools here in London. My aim is to provide teachers and education staff that are passionate, enthusiastic and ready to put in the hard work to ensure children get the best start possible to their education.
I work with a range of amazing Primary schools that provide high quality CPD and mentorship. I secure roles for teachers and teaching assistants who are newly qualified, as well as those who are moving up in their careers, looking for more responsibility or are ready for next steps into middle management and senior leadership.
When I am not working, I like catching up with friends and family, cooking, reading, Yoga and taking our dog Hero out for walks!

Hamzah joined Academics in November 2020 as a Resourcer for our Primary and Secondary schools in Central and South London and really enjoys being part of the team. Hamzah goes above and beyond for candidates, by taking time to get to know the teachers and support staff he works with, and listening to what they are looking for. In his spare time, Hamzah enjoys playing football and going to gym. He also spends a lot time with his family and loves taking care of his youngest brother who has Autism.
Conor is one of our primary managers focusing on east London. He joined us in 2015 having previously spent 2 years at an educational tech company providing tailored maths tutoring to primary aged students. Now Conor dedicates his time to finding talented teachers and support staff for East London primary schools. Starting off as a consultant Conor worked his way up to a team leader and now a manager role mentoring and supporting his team along the way. (When they can grasp his Irish accent that is) When Conor isn’t at work he can be found playing football (soccer), Gaelic Football and is also a keen golfer having won the Academics golf competition 4 years in a row. He also travelled all the way to Japan in 2019 to see Ireland get knocked out of the rugby world cup by New Zealand the day he arrived.
Yasmin is a Principal Consultant on the Primary Team and works with primary schools in East London. Yasmin joined Academics in April 2016 as Resourcer and Compliance Administrator which gave her an excellent rounded knowledge of what to look for in suitable teachers, senior leaders and support staff. Yasmin progressed to a consultant in October 2017 and has since looked after schools in Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Havering & Essex. Being originally from East London, and ‘Awesomestow’ as she likes to refer to it as, Yasmin thoroughly enjoys finding suitable staff for local schools so that she can give back to the community in which she grew up in. Prior to joining Academics, Yasmin worked for the London Borough of Waltham Forest as a qualified Careers Adviser, working with Secondary Schools, Colleges and Job Centres. Yasmin is a huge family girl at heart and enjoys walking her dogs Woody, Buzz and Dolly. Despite being a young adult, Yasmin is often described by her team as being ‘an old head on young shoulders’ and it wouldn’t surprise us if she is a secret knitting fan sat on her rocking chair on the weekends!
Andrew is the primary consultant for Hackney and Haringey with Academics London. Andrew joined Academics in 2016, progressing through a few roles within the company before joining the primary east team in 2019. During his childhood Andrew went to a local 2 form entry primary school in Newham, where he went on to sit as the Chair of Governors for a number of years. Public education is very important to him, not only due to his work as a Chair of Governors, but as a son of a primary teacher and brother to a secondary teacher, he has been able to see the expectations and pressures that are currently on teachers and schools, and how to deliver that to schools. Andrew is best known in the office for his strong tie and braces combos that he rocks on a regular basis. Dress down day for Andrew is not a reward, but it is an opportunity to wear a bow tie.
