Meet the SEN Agency Team in London and the Home Counties
The SEN agency in London and the Home Counties team supports EBD, PRU’s and SEN schools throughout London and the Home Counties with their ongoing requirements for long term and short term specialist teaching and Support Staff. The team has recently expanded which has been a priority for Academics, which allows them to continue to provide an exemplary teaching agency service to schools.
Christine joined Academics in 2014 following a successful career as a History and English Teacher and Subject Coordinator; having personal experience on all sides of education and recruitment gives her a unique insight into the needs of both her candidates and client schools.
Originally from Toronto, Christine has made London her home since 2009 and enjoys recruiting teachers and support staff for schools across the city she loves. As manager of both the Secondary and SEN teams, Christine also devotes much of her time to the training and development of her team members, while also keeping her own skills and educational knowledge up to date. When she’s not in the office, Christine spends her time at the gym, travelling, reading, and exploring the hidden gems London has to offer.
Mike entered the Education recruitment industry in February 2009 as a Film and Humanities Graduate (he’s not sure why everyone asks him if it’s a real degree) with aspirations that recruitment would merely be a side hustle until his acting career hit stratospheric heights. By early April 2009, with his acting career firmly consigned to the graveyard, he committed to Secondary and SEN Education and is driven by providing the best care for vulnerable SEND students. This is combined with ensuring we are providing our candidates with frank, honest advice when they apply to us. Within SEN, it is vital everyone is sincere and clear about their objectives and motives.
