Laura Evans
I joined the Academics Wirral team in March 2023 and is our Special Educational Needs Consultant; recruiting the best supply teachers, teaching assistants, and education staff for local SEN schools and provisions.
Before joining Academics, I worked in mainstream and SEN education for almost 17 years and I am now able to use this experience to help schools support children with additional needs across the area. I am very passionate about alternative and SEN education having first-hand experience of what a challenging sector it can be and relishes the opportunity to ensure that our schools and supply staff are supported to be the best they can be.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and fur-baby Archie. I like being outdoors as much as possible – either going for a long walk or spending time in the garden. When I get the chance, I enjoy spending my time on the water either sailing, kayaking, or rowing.
Andy Willmitt
Andy joined Academics in July 2019 having spent 18 years in Engineering Recruitment and he’s never looked back. With 3 children in Primary and Secondary School he is keen to make sure that kids get the best possible education and so he’s doing his bit by providing the highest possible calibre Teachers and Teaching Assistants.
He’s built long standing relationships with Primary Schools across Warrington and Halton and loves helping his candidates to find their perfect job. Hi! I’m Chloe!
I’ve been working with Secondary schools in the Wirral area since January 2023 and then started working with the Secondary schools in Chester and Warrington a year after in January 2024!
Before I was in recruitment I was a chef in some of the best restaurants in Chester. I didn’t expect to fall into recruitment but I’m so happy that I did because I’m now obsessed with my job!
I have built some amazing relationships with my schools and supply staff members based on an honest and open approach.
