SENCo – Redbridge
Salary: MPS/UPS (Outer London) + TLR1B
Start Date: September 2025

A rewarding opportunity has arisen in Redbridge for an experienced and committed SENCo to lead on SEND provision in a high-performing secondary school. This is a vital leadership post with responsibility for delivering a strategic, inclusive vision and ensuring the needs of all SEND learners are met effectively.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and embed inclusive practice in line with the SEND Code of Practice (2014).
* Maintain and manage the SEND register and profile across the school.
* Coordinate effective interventions, EHC plan applications, and student reviews.
* Support and develop staff through training and mentoring to embed Quality First Teaching.
* Track student progress using academic and behavioural data to identify and address barriers to learning.
* Work closely with external agencies in Redbridge to provide additional support where needed.
* Manage SEND administration including policies, budgets, reporting, and compliance.

Leadership & Development

* Act as a role model of best practice in inclusive teaching.
* Lead departmental self-evaluation, improvement planning, and performance management.
* Chair regular SEND meetings and liaise with pastoral, curriculum, and senior leaders.
* Ensure robust staff induction and development for LSAs and SEND team members.
* Provide input on careers guidance, transition, and emotional support provision for SEND students.

This role includes one day per week teaching and offers potential for additional TLR for a candidate with the experience to take provision further.

We welcome applications from strong SENCO professionals who are passionate about inclusion, experienced in working with a wide range of needs, and ready to make an impact across a diverse school community in Redbridge.
