Art Teacher – Full Time, Permanent

Academics Canterbury is proud to be working with a well-regarded secondary school in Canterbury that is seeking a full-time, permanent Art Teacher to join their creative faculty from September 2025.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to teach Art and Photography up to KS5, while also playing a key role in shaping and developing the school’s growing provision in Graphics and Design Technology at KS3 and KS4.

As part of a forward-thinking and supportive department, you will:

* Deliver high-quality lessons in Art and Photography at GCSE and A-Level.
* Support the expansion of Graphics and/or Design Technology as a developing area of the curriculum.
* Contribute to cross-disciplinary projects and creative enrichment activities.
* Inspire students through a strong understanding of visual arts, design processes, and digital or technical applications.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

* Be a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience teaching Art at secondary level.
* Have subject knowledge across a range of Art and Design specialisms, with strength in either Graphics or Design Technology.
* Demonstrate creativity, innovation, and a commitment to high standards in the classroom.
* Be passionate about encouraging creative expression and developing practical skills in young people.
