Supply Teachers for Special Needs School in Birmingham

Position: SEN Supply Teacher
Location: Great Barr, West Midlands

Academics are a dedicated Education agency based in Birmingham, committed to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with a range of abilities who are in Special Schools. We believe in fostering a nurturing and empowering space where every child has the opportunity to thrive. We are looking for passionate and flexible Supply Teachers to join our team and make a meaningful difference by teaching in special schools. The schools we work with are based all over Birmingham.

Role Overview:
As a Supply Teacher at our SEN schools, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and tailored lessons to students with special educational needs (SEN). You will work alongside a team of experienced teachers and support staff to provide a positive learning experience that is tailored to the individual needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver lessons to small groups or individuals based on a planned curriculum.
* Adapt lesson plans and teaching materials to cater to diverse learning needs.
* Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
* Collaborate with other staff members to support students' personal, social, and academic development.
* Maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom atmosphere.
* Support students' emotional, social, and behavioural development.

What We Are Looking For:

* Qualified teacher status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualifications.
* Experience working with students with special educational needs is desirable.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
* Flexibility and a willingness to adapt teaching approaches to meet individual student needs.
* A patient, empathetic, and caring approach to teaching.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
