An inclusive and supportive SEN school in Tunbridge Wells is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Technician to join their team as soon as possible.
🧪 About the Role:
You will play a role in supporting science for students with a range of special educational needs. Working closely with teaching staff, you’ll help prepare and maintain equipment and materials for engaging and safe science lessons across all key stages.
✅ Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing and setting up equipment for practical science lessons
* Supporting classroom demonstrations and activities
* Maintaining lab cleanliness and safety in line with health and safety guidelines
* Managing stock levels and ordering supplies
* Assisting in adapting experiments to suit individual learning needs
* Supporting staff and students during practical sessions as needed
🎓 About You:
* Previous experience in a science technician or lab support role is desirable
* An understanding of or willingness to learn about working in a SEN environment
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* A proactive and flexible attitude
* Science-related qualifications or relevant experience preferred
