We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and forward-thinking Deputy Head of Maths Faculty to join our dynamic school in Ealing from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced educator to play a key role in shaping the future of our Mathematics curriculum and help lead a thriving, high-performing faculty.

Following the internal appointment of our new Head of Maths, the successful candidate will assist in leading the Mathematics and Computing Faculty and deputise as required. You will be an integral part of a collaborative leadership team, supporting the Head of Faculty in developing and delivering a challenging and engaging curriculum that enables every student to achieve their full potential.

Salary: £42,536 – £60,092, plus Management Allowance (MA3) £8,279
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

* Support the leadership and strategic development of the Mathematics and Computing Faculty in Ealing.
* Lead and manage the delivery of the Maths curriculum across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the possibility of involvement in A-Level teaching.
* Develop and maintain a high standard of teaching and learning within the department.
* Assist in leading faculty initiatives, including the development of new schemes of work and pedagogical strategies.
* Foster a culture of high expectations, collaboration, and mutual support amongst staff.
* Ensure the delivery of a curriculum that promotes deep understanding and academic achievement for all students.
* Manage and guide a team of talented mathematics teachers, ensuring effective communication and teamwork across the department.
* Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to the broader school community.

Ideal Candidate:

* A well-qualified Mathematics Teacher with excellent subject knowledge and a track record of successful teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Experience in leadership or a leadership role within the Mathematics department (e.g., Lead Teacher or Second in Department) is desirable.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with students and colleagues alike.
* A passion for mathematics and the ability to inspire students to achieve excellence.
* Proven ability to contribute to faculty-wide initiatives and lead by example.
* A commitment to professional development and growing as a leader within the school community.
