📚 English Teacher – SEN Secondary School | Slough 📚
Brand New Specialist School | KS3 & KS4 | QTS Essential | SEN Allowance | Fringe Pay Scale

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate English Teacher to join a brand new, purpose-built special needs school in Slough. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a founding team supporting KS3 and KS4 students with a range of complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Global Developmental Delay.

As an English Teacher in this specialist setting, you’ll deliver creative, accessible and meaningful lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of your students. The focus is on developing communication, literacy and confidence, alongside core academic skills, in a calm, structured environment.

You’ll teach small groups of students, supported by experienced teaching assistants and a dedicated SEN team, with the freedom to adapt the curriculum and lesson content in ways that genuinely connect with learners.

* A qualified English Teacher (QTS essential)
*

A teacher with a passion for SEN education and inclusive teaching
*

Someone who’s imaginative, adaptable, and focused on the small wins that make a big difference
*

Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 — SEN experience welcome but not essential if you’re ready to learn

Being an English Teacher in a special school offers challenges, yes — but the rewards far outweigh them. You’ll see the tangible impact of your work every day, helping students unlock their potential, improve their communication skills and build confidence for life beyond school.

✨ Small class sizes and excellent support
✨ Tailored CPD and specialist SEN training
✨ Additional SEN allowance and Fringe area pay scale
✨ A warm, welcoming team in a brand new, purpose-built school

About the School:
This brand new school has been designed with the needs of its students in mind — calm, modern, safe, and fully equipped for specialist teaching and learning. It’s an exciting opportunity for a passionate English Teacher to play a key role in shaping a supportive, inclusive educational environment from day one.

Ready to Make a Difference?
If you’re an English Teacher ready to take the next step in your career — and do work that really matters — we’d love to hear from you.
