Academics is looking for a Psychology graduate to join a specialist school in East Grinstead as an SEN Teaching Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with students with Autism, ADHD, and other special educational needs (SEN)—ideal for those considering careers in educational psychology, clinical psychology, or SEN teaching.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN.
*

Assist with learning activities, behaviour management, and emotional regulation.
*

Implement strategies to support students' social, emotional, and cognitive development.
*

Work alongside teachers, therapists, and SENCOs to deliver personalised support.

Requirements

*

Psychology degree (or related field).
*

Interest in child development, SEN, or mental health support.
*

A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
*

Full UK driving licence (school is not easily accessible by public transport).
