As a Clinical Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex medical, emotional, and mental health challenges. Key Responsibilities:

* Support students with a variety of medical, emotional, and mental health needs, providing individualised care where necessary.
* Assist with delivering therapeutic interventions, in collaboration with healthcare professionals and teaching staff.
* Ensure students receive the appropriate medical and emotional support during school hours.
* Help manage the day-to-day care needs of students, including administering prescribed medications (following appropriate guidelines).
* Work with teachers to develop and implement personalised learning plans that cater to the specific needs of each student.
* Support students in managing their health and emotional well-being, including developing coping strategies for various challenges.

About You:

* Previous experience in a healthcare or educational support role, ideally in a clinical or SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) setting.
* Knowledge and understanding of medical conditions, mental health challenges, and how they impact learning.
* A caring, empathetic approach to supporting students, with a commitment to their well-being.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, healthcare providers, and families.
* A passion to become a Clinical Teaching Assistant.
* Relevant qualifications in healthcare, special educational needs, or similar fields would be advantageous (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Nursing Assistant, Mental Health First Aid).
* Ability to commute to Kempston.

Why Join:

* A supportive and collaborative team environment.
* Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
* Make a tangible difference in the lives of students facing significant challenges.
* Work in a positive, inclusive school culture that values both student and staff well-being.

If you are passionate about supporting students in the Education and Training sector with clinical or emotional health needs as a Clinical Teaching Assistant and want to work in a rewarding and dynamic environment, we encourage you to apply for this Kempston position today.
