Speech and Language Therapist – Kingston

Be part of something new, inspiring, and impactful.

We are seeking a Speech & Language Therapist for a secondary school in Kingston, committed to providing high-quality, inclusive education for children aged 16+ with a wide range of complex needs.

At the heart of our school is a nurturing and supportive environment where every child is encouraged to thrive—and every staff member is valued, empowered, and supported. Our therapy-led, multidisciplinary model is key to the way we work, helping pupils make real, meaningful progress.

The Role:

We’re looking for a passionate and skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine difference from the ground up—contributing to the development of a new provision and shaping a supportive, forward-thinking culture.

You’ll be central to supporting our pupils’ communication needs, working in close partnership with families, staff, and external professionals to deliver tailored interventions and inclusive strategies.

What you’ll do:

* Deliver 1:1, group, and in-class therapy sessions
* Carry out assessments and contribute to EHCPs and professional reports
* Support staff in creating communication-friendly learning environments
* Provide practical training and ongoing coaching for school staff
* Collaborate with families and outside agencies to ensure consistency and impact

What we’re looking for:

* A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
* HCPC registration and RCSLT membership
* Experience supporting children with Autism and/or complex communication needs
* Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
* Knowledge of evidence-based therapy approaches and inclusive practice

Bonus if you have:

* Experience in a school
* Familiarity with AAC, PECS, Makaton, or TEACCH
* Confidence contributing to EHCP reports and reviews

If you’re excited by the idea of helping to build a school where therapy is truly embedded and where your voice matters, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today to join a passionate team making a real difference in Kingston.
