Academics Ltd is working with a specialist school in Gloucester that provides tailored support for children aged 5 to 18 with a range of mental, emotional and social needs. The school is looking for a proactive Youth Mental Health Support Worker to join their team, providing an excellent opportunity to work alongside qualified specialists, including psychologists.

* £83-£95 per day (Depending on experience and qualifications)
* Long Term Temporary with the opportunity to be made permanent

Key Responsibilities of a Youth Mental Health Support Worker:

* Offer emotional and mental health support to students with various needs.
* Provide tailored interventions to promote academic and emotional growth.
* Use coping strategies to help manage stress, anxiety, and school avoidance.
* Work with educators and specialists to ensure personalised support.
* Apply restorative practices to create a safe, inclusive environment for all students.
* Work on a 1:1 basis with children who face behavioural challenges, sensory issues and communication difficulties.

The Youth Mental Health Support Worker role is perfect for individuals with a degree in Psychology who are looking to kick-start their career in SEN. Relevant experience working with children with SEN, along with additional level 3 qualifications, is highly valued.
