Exam Invigilator – Southampton

Are you looking for a flexible and rewarding role in education?
We are seeking Exam Invigilators to work in mainstream secondary school's in Southampton during both mock exams and formal examination periods. This is a great opportunity for those who want to support students during one of the most important stages of their academic journey!

* £13.68 per hour
* Session times will vary depending on school / exams
* Schools based in Southampton, with excellent public transport links

About the role of Exam Invigilator:
* Attending regular briefings by the Exams Officer.
* Setting up examination rooms, and clearing away after the exam.
* Welcoming students into the exam hall and ensuring a positive, organised atmosphere.
* Recording attendance on the examination seating plans.
* Monitoring students during the examination period, ensuring there is no talking or disruption.
* Ensuring candidates obey the regulations of an examination room as laid out in the examination guidelines.

To be considered for the role of Exam Invigilator in Southampton we will require the following from you:
* Must hold an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate.
* Good numeracy and literacy skills
* Effective written and oral skills
* Previous experience as an Exam Invigilator of working in a school environment (ideal but not essential)
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
* Live locally to Southampton
