Learning Support Assistant – Key Stage 1

A well-regarded, two-form entry Church of England primary school in the heart of Welwyn is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join their supportive and inclusive team. This is a full-time position, working across Key Stage 1, with daily hours from 8.30am to 3.15pm (including a midday supervision duty with a 30-minute unpaid break). There may be some flexibility with hours for the right candidate.

The Role Involves:
* Supporting children within the classroom environment
* Working with small groups of pupils
* Collaborating with teachers, the Inclusion Team, parents, and external agencies
* Assisting with whole-class learning
* Encouraging and developing children’s independence
Ideal Learning Support Assistant Will:
* Be nurturing, welcoming and inclusive in approach
* Have prior experience working in a primary school setting
* Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Be confident supporting English and maths across the primary age range
* Be passionate about learning and child development
* Work well independently and as part of a team
* Have high expectations for pupil behaviour and achievement
