* Encourage participation in classroom activities and promote inclusion within the school setting.
* Help children to build independence and self-confidence.
* Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to ensure each child’s needs are met.
* Monitor and record children’s progress, providing feedback to parents and staff as required.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times.

Requirements:

* Experience working with children with Autism or special educational needs (SEN).
* Knowledge and understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and how it affects children’s learning and behaviour.
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children.
* Ability to adapt and modify teaching methods to suit individual needs.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Team player with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and external professionals.
* A flexible and positive attitude, with a passion for supporting children with special needs.
* A relevant qualification in Education, Health, or Social Care (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
