A Special Educational Needs School in Colchester is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN LSA on a long-term basis starting after the May half-term, with the opportunity to apply for a permanent role in August 2025. Key Responsibilities:
* Providing one-to-one and small group support to students
* Assisting teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and classroom activities
* Supporting students with communication, individual support plans (ISPs), and behaviour management
* Supervising and engaging with students during lunch and break times
* Accompanying students on educational visits and school trips
Who We Are Looking For:
* Experience working with students with autism or learning disabilities in an educational setting
* NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning is desirable but not essential
* A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children’s needs
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
