Academics is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a specialist SEMH school in Burgess Hill. This is an excellent opportunity to support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH) in a nurturing and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities

Lead small group sessions and provide targeted learning support
*
Assist in planning and delivering lessons under the guidance of teachers
*
Support students' emotional well-being, behaviour management, and engagement
*
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
*
Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and therapists
Requirements
*
HLTA qualification or extensive TA experience with progression
*
Experience working with SEMH or SEN students
*
Ability to lead small groups and support learning effectively
*
A patient, resilient, and proactive approach
*
Full UK driving licence (school is not easily accessible by public transport)
*
Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
