Role: School Mental Health Teaching Assistant – Psychology & Criminology Graduate Opportunity

Location: Bedford

Salary: £460 - £500 per week

Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term (Mon-Fri, 08:30 - 15:30)

We are working with a specialist school in Bedford for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs is looking for a compassionate individual to support children with a range of challenges, including ADHD, communication difficulties, Down Syndrome, and Speech, Language, and Communication Needs. This School Mental Health Teaching Assistant role is ideal for graduates looking to gain valuable experience in mental health, education, social care, counselling and related fields in the education and training sector.

What You’ll Be Doing:

* Provide tailored support to students with diverse mental health and behavioural needs.
* Gain hands-on experience working with children who need additional support in a structured environment.
* Collaborate with the clinical team to help students overcome challenges and achieve their potential.
* Contribute to the personal growth and development of students while making a positive impact in the education sector.

Who We’re Looking For:

* A degree in Psychology, Criminology, or a related field.
* Personal or professional experience with SEN, ideally in a teaching or support role.
* A strong passion for mental health and a commitment to supporting students with SEMH needs.
* Dedication to understanding and addressing the individual challenges faced by students in an SEN setting.
* Ideally based within a reasonable distance to Bedford.
