Teaching Assistant (TA) – Secondary School in Avonmouth, South Gloucestershire

Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: Avonmouth, South Gloucestershire
Contract: Full-time, Term-time Only
Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for a motivated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team and contribute to enhancing the learning experience for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

* Classroom Support: Collaborate with teachers to deliver tailored support to students in both small groups and on an individual basis across various subjects.
* One-to-One Assistance: Provide targeted help to students with additional learning needs, including those with SEND, ensuring they can access and engage with the curriculum.
* Resource Management: Aid in the preparation of classroom materials and resources to ensure that all students in Bristol have the tools they need to succeed.
* Student Well-being: Support the promotion of positive behaviour and contribute to creating a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters students' emotional and social well-being.
* Extra-Curricular Activities: Assist in the delivery of extra-curricular activities, school trips, and after-school programs as part of your role.

Person Specification:

* Qualifications: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar capacity is an advantage.
* Experience: Experience working with young people, particularly those with additional needs, is preferred but not essential.
* Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills, with a genuine passion for supporting students and helping them reach their potential.
