* Location: Thanet
* Start Date: ASAP
* Salary: £160.00 to £250.00 per day (In line with your current pay scale)
* Contract: Temporary until the end of the current academic year, with the potential for a permanent position starting September 2025.

Teacher of English – Thanet

Academics, Canterbury are currently working with a vibrant and supportive academy in Thanet who are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of English. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire and engage students, fostering a love for English and helping them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver high-quality English lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS3 and KS4).
* Create an engaging and supportive learning environment that fosters students' academic and personal growth.
* Assess, track, and monitor students' progress, providing feedback to help them achieve their best.
* Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the overall success of the English department.
* Support students’ pastoral development and well-being.

About You:

* A qualified teacher with a degree in English (or related subject) and a recognised UK teaching qualification.
* A passion for teaching and a commitment to inspiring students.
* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all students.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team.
* Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 (desirable, but not essential).
