Are you experienced in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? A primary school in Yate, South Gloucestershire, is seeking a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team ASAP. This is a long-term, full-time role with potential for a permanent position.
Role Details:
* Position: Primary SEN Teaching Assistant
* Location: Yate, South Gloucestershire
* Start Date: ASAP
* Pay: £85-£95 per day
* Contract: Long-term, full-time (Mon-Fri, 8:30am – 3:45pm)
* Parking: On-site car park available
* Transport: Accessible by bus and local transport links
Responsibilities:
* Support children 1:1 and in small groups
* Assist with lesson planning and preparing resources
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to create a positive learning environment
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant
* Knowledge of Makaton, PECS, or Colourful Semantics
* Experience with children with Autism, Down Syndrome, Speech & Language Difficulties, ADHD, or similar needs
* Willingness to work across EYFS, KS1, or KS2
