Here at Academics, we are working again with this fantastic Primary school in Wandsworth to appoint an enthusiastic Graduate with an interest in developing their career in education and teacher training. Each year this school takes on a select few graduates and offer a fixed term contract for the academic year, with full training provided for a Graduate Teaching Assistant.

The school have an excellent teaching assistant training programme where you will develop your experience working as a General Teaching Assistant, supporting the class teacher and you will also have the opportunity to work with a range of pupils with SEN to learn this aspect of the role to make sure all children including those with barriers to learning, make progress.

The role will be challenging, but hugely rewarding! You will be fully supported in your new role by the schools brilliant teaching and senior leadership team. Successful completion of the academic year at this school will put you in an excellent position to apply for the schools teacher training programme for the following academic year.

The role would suit a 2024 or recent graduate in any subject. You will need some experience working with children, this can be paid or unpaid in or out of a school setting. You will need excellent communication skills and plenty of enthusiasm and energy to keep up with the children and make learning positive and fun. Our school is based in Wandsworth, London within 5 minutes’ walk of excellent pubic transport links across London.
