Are you a passionate, dedicated primary teacher looking for a KS1 Teaching role?

Academics are recruiting on behalf of a 'Good' Primary school in Southampton who are seeking a friendly, positive and energetic individual to join their team as a KS1 Teacher. This would be on a full time, fixed term contract (maternity cover) so please only apply if this is something you can commit to.

You will be expected to bring excellent classroom practice, with an outstanding ability to engage and enthuse children. It is also important you have the ability to develop secure relationships with children & families as well as your colleagues as you will often be expected to join in with team meetings to share your thoughts.

As a KS1 Teacher with this school, you will be required to plan and deliver your lessons across the KS1 curriculum, as well as build on basic numeracy and literacy skills of your class. Your job is to help pupils develop reading skills, improve their creativity in writing fictional stories and poetry, and teach them mathematical computations.
You will be required to carry out full teaching responsibilities, the school encourage their staff to bring fresh ideas into the classroom, ensuring engaging and dynamic lessons. With the schools comprehensive professional development opportunities, you can continuously grow as an educator, expanding your skills and knowledge.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced KS1 specialist, however ECT's will also be considered for the role.

* Come with qualified teacher status (QTS) or the equivalent
* Have evidence of good practice as a KS1 teacher in the classroom

* Are able to inspire, motivate and engage children to achieve and succeed
* Can form positive relationships with children, staff, parents and governors
* Possesses excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
