Welfare Officer - Hillingdon

Are you passionate about making a difference in children’s lives? Would you be interested in working in a West Drayton based Primary School who are seeking a dedicated Welfare Officer to join their team and support the well-being of our students.

Role Overview: As a Welfare Officer, you will be the first point of contact for students needing care, guidance, and support. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring our children are happy, healthy, and ready to learn.

Key Responsibilities of a Welfare Officer:

* Provide First Aid: Attend to students with minor injuries or health issues and ensure their well-being throughout the school day.
* Emotional Support: Offer a listening ear and practical assistance to students experiencing emotional difficulties, helping them feel safe and supported.
* Liaise with Parents and Staff: Maintain strong communication between home and school, ensuring parents are informed and involved in their child’s care.
* Promote Well-Being: Encourage positive mental health practices, working with teachers and parents to foster a supportive environment.
* Support Attendance: Assist with attendance monitoring and provide guidance to families facing challenges.

Requirements:

* Experience in a similar role or working with children.
* Compassionate, patient, and understanding.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Paediatric First Aid training (or willingness to undergo training).
