Primary School PPA Teacher – Havering, London

Are you a passionate and experienced primary school teacher looking for a fulfilling role covering PPA at a wonderful primary school in Havering, London from March/April 2025?

Do you want to continue teaching but prefer a break from full-time classroom responsibilities?

Or maybe you're a recent graduate with teaching training but haven't secured your ECT role yet and are eager to gain experience across different year groups at a school that could potentially offer your ECT induction in the future?

A fantastic 2-form entry primary school in Havering, Essex, is seeking a full-time PPA teacher to join their team from March/April 2025 on a long-term contract for the remainder of the academic year, with the possibility of a permanent position from September 2025.

This opportunity is open to both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs). Please note, while you won’t complete your ECT induction as a PPA teacher, the role will offer invaluable experience across the school, and the school is open to supporting your ECT induction from September 2025. You will receive excellent support throughout.

* Salary: £140 - £270 per day (paid to scale)

* Covering: Classes from Year 1 to Year 4

This is a wonderful opportunity for a teacher with a genuine passion for teaching and learning. As a PPA teacher, you will deliver pre-planned lessons across the school from Year 1 to Year 4. You will not be required to plan lessons or write reports, but marking work will be part of your role.

The Ideal Candidate:

* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Has at least 1 year of primary teaching experience in the UK
* Can teach across a wide range of year groups
* Builds positive relationships with students and staff
* Is a supportive and collaborative team player
* Is passionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic about teaching

The school is located in a lovely area of Havering, with easy access to the train station and local bus routes. There is also parking available for staff. The school is set in spacious grounds with a modern building and excellent facilities, as well as plenty of resources for all teachers to benefit from.
