About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our thriving secondary school in Crawley. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to engage and inspire students in Key Stages 3 and 4 (with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5). The successful candidate will help students develop strong mathematical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of the subject.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Mathematics lessons in line with the national curriculum.
* Assess, monitor, and support students’ progress, providing constructive feedback.
* Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
* Foster a positive learning environment that encourages confidence in numeracy and problem-solving.
* Support students in applying mathematical concepts to real-world situations.
* Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and teaching strategies.
* Participate in school events, parents’ evenings, and extracurricular activities such as math clubs and competitions.
Requirements
Essential:
* A degree in Mathematics or a related field.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
* Strong subject knowledge and the ability to engage and inspire students.
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Desirable:
* Experience teaching A-Level Mathematics.
* Familiarity with modern teaching strategies and digital learning tools.
* A passion for promoting numeracy and extracurricular activities.
