Are you a caring individual passionate about supporting children with Autism and complex needs? A Primary with an increasing SEN student body in Oxford is looking for an Autism Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for graduates or those interested in a career in special education.

The Details:

* Position: Autism Teaching Assistant
* Location: Oxford
* Start Date: September 2025
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
* Salary: £85 to £95 per day
* Perfect for recent graduates or passionate individuals looking to advance their SEN experience

As a Autism Teaching Assistant, work with children on the Autism Spectrum, many with cerebral palsy and high-level learning needs, in a 1:1 staff-to-child ratio setting. As an assistant, you’ll provide academic, emotional, and personal care support, including helping with communication, social skills, self-regulation, and fine motor skills. You will also assist with managing challenging behaviour and promoting positive decision-making.

What we’re looking for:

* Communication skills – An ability to engage with children, adapt to their needs, and communicate effectively.
* Patience and resilience – You’ll need a calm and understanding approach when working with children who may present with challenging behaviours or need additional support in day-to-day activities.
* Personal care – Some students may require assistance with personal care tasks, so a nurturing and compassionate attitude is essential.
* Passion for SEN – A deep commitment to helping Oxford children with autism and complex needs, creating a safe and supportive learning environment.
