Academics Ltd. is currently recruiting for a Sports Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school in Swindon. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who is committed to enhancing students' educational experience and supporting their growth in both sports and academics.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with PE teachers to deliver engaging, creative lessons that inspire students to participate in sports and physical activities.
• Assist in delivering lessons in a variety of subjects, supporting students in academic areas alongside sports activities.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment that encourages students to be active and engaged in their learning.
• Adapt your approach to meet the diverse learning needs of students in both sports and academic subjects.
• Help with classroom management, organisation, and some administrative tasks.
What We’re Looking For:
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain sports techniques and activities in a simple and accessible way.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
• Flexibility and a proactive attitude in supporting a dynamic classroom and sports environment, as well as other lessons.
• A genuine passion for sports and working with young people to help them succeed academically and physically.
• Previous experience in sports or physical education
• Competitive daily pay (£83.50 - £100 per day).
• Immediate start available.
• Long-term career progression with opportunities for teacher training after one year for exceptional Teaching Assistants.
