School Cover Supervisor – Broadstairs

Academics are recruiting! Are you a graduate looking for flexible work in Broadstairs and Thanet? Are you considering a career in teaching and looking to gain practical classroom experience?

I am currently recruiting for confident reliable graduates for flexible temporary work as cover supervisors for secondary schools in Broadstairs and Thanet.

The role is to start ASAP on an ad hoc day to day supply basis.

The Role - Graduate Cover Supervisor

Working hours vary (usually 6 ½ hours per day), but you’ll need to be available between the core hours of 8.00am to 3.30pm

The role will include:

* Taking the lead in the absence of the teacher
* Sole responsibility for teaching and learning
* Delivering pre-planned lessons
* Using provided resources to encourage learning
* Managing the behaviour within the classroom
* Developing independent study skills and peer learning
* Pastoral and learning support
* Managing handover back to the teacher
* Experience of teaching or covering Maths or English would be beneficial

We welcome applications from graduates with experience of:

* Working in schools or colleges
* Sports coaching
* Youth work
* Drama Workshop / drama school/ theatre in education/ Art workshop
* Breakfast clubs/ After school club
* Summer Camps/ PGL
* Scouts/Guides/Brownies/Cubs
* Outdoor activities instructor / Duke of Edinburgh/ orienteering with young people
