Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or a Graduate who is looking for work experience in a Primary school?

Would you enjoy working in a Primary school in Westminster?

Would you like to work with a child with physical disability?

* Immediate Start / Summer term with option to extend for the following year

* £90 to £115 per day

Academics LTD are currently working with this fantastic two form entry Primary school, based in the borough of Westminster. The Headteacher is ready to interview and appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant or Graduate to join the team this April or Sooner. Your role will be supporting a child who has limited mobility, this role will include providing support for the child to move around the school as well as supporting in class to ensure they are accessing the curriculum. You will receive manual handing training plus training from a Physiotherapist to support the child with their movements throughout the day. You will need to a calm, caring and patient approach to working with children and be comfortable providing personal care if and when required with the support of your partner teaching assistant.

The school has a recent outstanding OFSTED and is a brilliant place to work and learn. Behaviour is excellent across the school which in turn allows Teachers and support staff to do their best work and provide high quality lesson and engaging topic work to really fire up the children’s imagination.

The SENCO and SEN Team work go the extra mile to make sure that children with Special Education Needs in the school have targeted and relevant education plans. They take time to really get to know the children and their families to create a secure learning environment where children with barriers to learning can access the curriculum and flourish.
