About Us:
We are a supportive and inclusive school located in Aldershot, dedicated to providing exceptional education for students with specific learning and language-based difficulties. Our student body includes individuals with dyslexia, developmental language disorder (DLD), and developmental coordination disorder (DCD). We are seeking a passionate and motivated Aspiring Psychologist to deliver personalized support and empower students to thrive.

Key Responsibilities of an Aspiring Psychologist - Aldershot:

* Assist in delivering tailored educational support for students with specific learning difficulties
* Support students in developing their academic skills, particularly in literacy, language, and motor coordination.
* Work closely with teachers and the SEN (Special Educational Needs) team to implement individualized learning plans.
* Provide one-on-one and small group support to enhance students’ learning experiences.
* Encourage social, emotional, and academic development in a nurturing environment.
* Support students with classroom activities, assessments, and behavioral strategies.
* Help track and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
* Promote positive behavior and self-confidence in students.

Qualities of an Aspiring Psychologist - Aldershot:

* A recent Psychology graduate (or a degree in a related field) with a strong interest in educational psychology.
* A genuine passion for supporting students with learning difficulties and developmental disorders.
* Experience or a keen interest in working with students with dyslexia, DLD, DCD, or other specific learning difficulties.
* Knowledge of evidence-based strategies for supporting learning and behavior in students with additional needs.
* Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to helping students achieve their potential.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing education and training.
