About the Role
Academics Ltd is currently recruiting for Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Swindon. This role is ideal for someone with a Performing Arts background looking to take the next step in their career. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of lessons during teacher absences, while offering support and encouragement to students. This is a fantastic opportunity to utilise your Performing Arts skills in an educational setting, inspire students, and build valuable experience within the secondary education sector.

Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and support students during lessons in the absence of the regular teacher
* Ensure that students remain on task and maintain good behaviour
* Assist students in completing work set by the class teacher
* Promote a positive learning environment, encouraging participation and engagement
* Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner and provide feedback to the class teacher
* Support students with individual learning needs and create an inclusive classroom atmosphere
Key Requirements
* A degree in any Performing Arts discipline (Drama, Theatre, Music, etc.) is highly desirable
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Passion for working with young people and supporting their development
* Ability to manage classroom behaviour and maintain a productive learning environment
* Prior experience in education or working with young people is beneficial but not essential
* A proactive and flexible approach to work
