This Mental Health Assistant role is an ideal opportunity if you're an aspiring mental health assistant with a career focussed on Counselling, Mental Health, Wellbeing, Criminal, Social or Youth Justice, or looking at elements of social care for example.

This SEN school in Stevenage is looking for SEN Psychology and Criminology Graduates to provide first class support to children with complex social, emotional and mental health needs, ADHD, and communication difficulties, Down syndrome and some speech, language and communication needs.

Job Title: Mental Health Assistant

Location: Stevenage

Salary Scale: £460-£500 per week

Sector: Education and Training

Contract type: Long Term Contract, 5 days a week, 8:30 – 15:30

This is an amazing role for a graduate who has objectives within Social Justice, Parole, Probation, and the Criminal Justice system, especially for any form of advocacy the range of need, mental Health.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual with previous SEN experience OR a Graduate with a keen interest in this area of work.

What is required?

* An Undergraduate Degree (preferable) and/or previous SEN experience, ideal for Criminology and Psychology Graduates
* An interest in mental health and Autism
* Knowledge, keen interest or understanding of the range of different types of learning and behavioural needs (SEMH elements of the provision)
* Local commute to Stevenage
