Academics LTD is working with a highly regarded secondary school in Swindon, offering a fantastic opportunity to join their team as a Graduate Cover Supervisor. Your sports background will serve as a strong foundation for this role, as the skills you’ve developed—such as leadership, teamwork, communication, discipline, and resilience—are directly transferable to managing classrooms and supporting students' academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and manage student behaviour to ensure a productive and focused learning environment
* Act as a positive role model, drawing on your sports experience to encourage teamwork, discipline, and motivation in students
* Cover pre-assigned lessons in the absence of regular teachers
* Develop rapport quickly with students, using your leadership and interpersonal skills to create a positive classroom dynamic
* Be flexible in covering various subjects across KS3 and KS4, while maintaining a calm, structured atmosphere
* Use your background in sports to foster confidence, resilience, and group cooperation in students
Ideal Candidate:
* A degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or any related subject (recent graduates welcome)
* A background in coaching, sports leadership, or working with young people is a plus
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* A passion for supporting student learning and personal development
* Ability to maintain a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere
