Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Resource Base (Fixed Term Until End of July)

We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bristol that is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their specialist Resource Base, supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Speech, Language, and Communication needs.

Ideally applicants for this Higher Level Teaching Assistant role will have:

* An understanding of the needs of children with Autism Spectrum Condition
* Experience using a range of communication strategies with non-verbal children or those in early language development
* Experience planning and delivering learning activities
* High expectations for themselves and all children, using engaging and creative approaches to learning
* Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and the behavioural needs of children with ASC
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A positive, proactive attitude and a nurturing nature
* Level 2 qualifications as a minimum

The Resource Base supports pupils from Year 1 to Year 3 with EHCPs for Autism and Speech, Language, and Communication needs.
