Academics are working with a highly reputable trust of schools in the Colchester area who are in need of a Cover Supervisor to join them on an on-going basis. These schools are committed to providing a high standard of Education across the board and ensuring each child a platform to achieve their goals. In this role, you will directly supervise classes and lead lessons during the short-term absence of teachers. The Cover Supervisor will give instructions for the work as provided by a teacher, with the primary focus of creating a positive learning environment, maintaining order, keeping students on task and supporting them to complete their work.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Cover Supervisor:
* To ensure a high-quality learning experience for students which meets internal and external quality standards
* To use a variety of delivery methods which will stimulate learning appropriate to student needs
* To maintain discipline in accordance with the academy’s procedures and to encourage good practice with regard to punctuality, behaviour, standards of work and homework
* To teach students according to their educational needs
* To assess, record and report on the attendance, progress, development, and attainment of students and to keep such records as are required
* To providea high standard of Education and training to all pupils
