Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Location: Barry, Vale of Glamorgan

Contract Type: Full-Time Temporary (Immediate start until July 2025)

Salary: £84 - £86 per day

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming primary school in Barry. The successful candidate will provide support across various classrooms as needed, contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist with daily classroom activities
* Support small groups in numeracy, literacy, and reading.
* Collaborate with teachers to meet pupils' individual needs.
* Provide tailored support to pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), including those with Autism and behavioural challenges.
* Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.

Essential Requirements:

* Proven experience working in a primary school setting.
* Confidence in supporting learners with ALN.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
* Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).

Desirable Qualifications:

* Experience in a 1:1 support role.
* Recognised Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification.
