Teaching Assistant for Children with Mental Health Needs – Bristol

Location: Bristol
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £85 - £96.15 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm

An inclusive specialist school in Bristol is seeking a Teaching Assistant for Children with Mental Health Needs – Bristol to support children aged 8 to 18 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, trauma, and behavioural challenges. Many of the students are Looked After Children who require additional support to thrive in an educational setting.

The Role:

* Teaching Assistant for Children with Mental Health Needs – Bristol, supporting young people with mental health difficulties, trauma, and challenging behaviour
* Assisting students with Autism, ADHD, and other Special Educational Needs
* Working alongside therapists and psychologists to provide a nurturing and supportive environment
* Encouraging personal development and emotional resilience in students
* Gaining hands-on experience in education and training

Ideal Candidate:

* Graduate in Psychology, Counselling, Criminology, or a related field (desirable)
* Experience working with children or young people in any setting (personal or professional)
* Confident, resilient, and adaptable to work with challenging behaviour
* Passionate about mental health and supporting vulnerable children
* Level 3 qualification or higher required
