Academics is a leading education recruitment company based in the heart of Birmingham’s vibrant Colmore Row Business District. We are currently expanding our team and are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to spearhead our growth efforts. The primary focus of this role will be to build and nurture strong relationships with schools and candidates within the education sector

As a Business Development Manager, you will focus on developing strong, long-term relationships with schools and candidates. We are looking for a driven individual with a strong sales background, particularly in building and maintaining client relationships. While experience in education recruitment is beneficial, we also welcome candidates from industries such as hospitality, where relationship-building and sales skills are critical.

Key Responsibilities:

* Build and Manage Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with school clients and education professionals ( Teachers, Teaching Assistants, Cover Supervisors and nursery nurses to support recruitment needs.
* Sales Growth: Identify new business opportunities and work towards achieving sales targets by introducing our services to schools.
* Client Acquisition: Drive the growth of our client base by prospecting new schools, understanding their needs, and providing tailored recruitment solutions.
* Candidate Engagement: Connect with education professionals and match them to relevant job opportunities.

Requirements:

* Sales Background: Experience in business development, account management, or sales, ideally in recruitment or sectors such as hospitality where client relationships are key.
* Strong Communication Skills: Excellent ability to engage and build rapport with clients and candidates.
* Target-Driven: Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
* Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
