Behaviour Support Worker – Reading, Berkshire

Full Time – February 2025

Do you want to gain a better understanding of behavioural challenges in education?

We are working with a brilliant education provider in Reading, Berkshire that are looking for a passionate individual to enter the school in February 2025 as a Behaviour Support Worker. The position is a full time position beginning in October in the Theale area, supporting students with additional needs or behaviour challenges throughout the school day.

Responsibilities of a Behaviour Support Worker:

* 1-1 support for students with SEMH needs
* Observing triggers for challenging behaviours
* Identifying self-regulation tactics when facing challenging behaviour
* Setting goals for students to work towards
* Participate in staff meetings to share observations and input on care plans
* Keep students focused and engaged in lessons

The school’s approach to the students' education is a combination of encouraging independence and teaching life skills as well as an educational curriculum. As a Behaviour Support Worker, it is your responsibility to motivate your students to recognise their own potential and do their best to make it come true.
