Role Overview: Cover Supervisor - Primary - SEMH – Bath – Education and Training
* The school is seeking a Cover Supervisor with experience in primary education and is open to candidates transitioning from mainstream teaching.
* Specialist setting for speech, language, and communication needs.
* Small class sizes (6-8 students) with a focus on effective communication strategies.
* Dedicated therapy rooms and access to a multidisciplinary support team, including Speech and Language Therapists (SALTs), Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and Counsellors.
* Use of specialist communication methods such as Makaton and PECS.
* Focus on preparing students for GCSE subjects and tailoring the curriculum to their individual needs.
* Emphasis on sensory-based teaching and a creative curriculum. Each class benefits from a Senior Teaching Assistant and 2-3 additional LSAs for support.
* QTS is required, but the school will consider unqualified teachers with relevant experience.
