Academics LTD are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to support in some fantastic secondary schools in the Oxford area. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining continuity in the classroom, ensuring the students receive the support they need to succeed even when their regular teacher is absent.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has previous experience working within the education sector or for someone who is aspiring to begin a career in education. This is also a perfect chance for a graduate looking to take their first step into teaching. (GCSE’s in Maths or English (C or above) is required). There is also extensive opportunities to support SEN Children if this is something you are interested in or passionate about.
Main Responsibilities of the Cover Supervisor will be:
* Manage the behaviour of students to ensure they are working in a constructive learning environment
* Oversee the work set by the class teacher
* Act as a role model and develop positive working relationships with Students and other members of staff
* Commitment to the safeguarding and health and safety of the students
Ideal Cover Supervisor will have:
* Previous experience working in a school setting
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* A passion and commitment to support students in their learning
* Ability to manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
