Working in an SEN school as a learning support assistant provides a firsthand understanding of the complexities and nuances of diverse learning needs, fostering empathy, patience, and adaptability—essential qualities for any psychology graduate aspiring to pursue further studies or a career in clinical psychology, educational psychology, or related fields
* Provide one-on-one support to students with speech and language difficulties.
* Implement personalized learning plans tailored to each student's needs.
* Support the implementation of speech and language therapy techniques as directed by therapists or specialists.
* Collaborate with teachers to adapt and modify lesson plans to accommodate diverse communication needs.
* Assist in creating a supportive classroom environment that encourages language development.
* Track and record student progress in speech and language development.
* Act as a liaison between speech therapists, teachers, and parents/guardians, sharing updates on student progress and strategies used.
