Are you a Teacher of Food Technology who is considering flexible supply from the May half-term or even the new academic year in September?

Or are you soon to become an ECT (with a Food Technology specialism) who is looking to gain more hands on experience in a variety of secondary schools before gaining gaining a permanent role?

Academics are currently looking for enthusiastic Food Technology Teachers for flexible supply opportunities within their partnership secondary schools in Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Whether it is a long term contract or more flexible day-to-day cover; we focus the job search around you and look to provide you with the type of work you are looking for. Our supply opportunities are great as they allow our teachers to be flexible with the days that they wish to work. These roles can be ideal for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as they could potentially lead to more long-term and permanent roles in some of our schools.

We are currently welcoming applications from Design Technology Teachers with specialisms in Food and Nutrition for this particular role.

Food Technology Teachers who apply must:

* Hold the relevant Food Technology (or Design Technology) qualification (PGCE, B. Ed or BA Hons) with UK Qualified Teaching Status (QTS/QTLS).
* Be able to deliver exciting and engaging Food Technology lessons using your own creativity and initiative.
* Be a confident motivator in the classroom, and can build excellent rapport with students and staff.
* Have excellent practical knowledge of the national curriculum and to have a proven track record of working with students in both KS3 & KS4.
* Hold a current Enhanced DBS that is registered with the Update Service, or to be prepared to apply for a new Enhanced DBS with ourselves (cost applied).

Please be aware for our long-term opportunities you will be paid according to your teacher pay grade.

Once registered with Academics you will have a dedicated consultant who will support you with your career and who will also give you access to a variety of opportunities, all at great rates of pay!
