Job Title: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant

Location: Southwark, London

Salary: £425 - £475 Per Week (Depending on Experience)

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant in Southwark.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they have equal access to learning opportunities.
* Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons and activities to meet the individual needs of students.
* Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.
* Collaborate with other professionals, including SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators) and educational psychologists, to implement personalized learning strategies.
* Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/guardians as required.
* Support students with personal care, mobility, and social interactions as necessary.

Requirements:

* Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable but not essential.
* A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
* Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the individual needs of students in a dynamic classroom environment.
* A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in education.
