Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)

Location: Sheffield (S35 area)

Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term

Start Date: 8th December

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Academics, a leading education recruitment agency, is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with SEND in a school located in the S35 area of Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with experience or knowledge of SEN to contribute to a child's educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide tailored 1:1 support to a child with SEND needs
* Assist in implementing and adapting learning activities to meet the individual needs of the student
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to create and implement personalized education plans
* Support the student in social and emotional development

Requirements:

* Experience or knowledge of working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
* Understanding of various learning difficulties and the ability to adapt teaching strategies accordingly
* Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and external professionals
* A positive and proactive approach to supporting the individual needs of the student
